DEC Issues Draft 2020-2022 Impaired Waterbody List

Notice of Availability for Public Comment – New York State Draft 2020-2022 Clean Water Act § 303(d) List of Impaired Waters

This notice announces the availability of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation’s (NYS DEC) Draft 2020-2022 Clean Water Act (CWA) Section 303(d) List of Impaired/Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) Waters. This list identifies waters which do not meet applicable water quality standards and do not support applicable best uses, thereby requiring a TMDL. The 30 day public comment period commences on December 29, 2021. Comments will be accepted through January 28, 2022.
